TENDUA - Association for biodiversity conservation
Biodiversity is disappearing and our futures are disappearing with it.
- Between 1970 and 2010 there has been a decline of 52% of the wildlife because of the loss and degradation of habitat (deforestation, urbanisation, agriculture), overhunting and overfishing, pollution, climate change.
- In 2010, the equivalent of 1.5 Earth planets have been consumed by humanity. Natural resource stocks are depleting, waste accumulates faster than it is absorbed or recycled.
- 96.4% of freshwater (lakes, rivers, reservoirs, aquifers) fall into global agricultural and industrial productions to satisfy our Western lifestyles.
