Our Projects
TENDUA supports several programmes run by other organisations to protect threatened species and preserve their habitats: snow leopards, Hoolock gibbons in India, Colombian tapirs, desert lions in Namibia, as well as initiatives to fight deforestation.
TENDUA has also supported programmes dedicated to Amur leopards, manatees in Guinea-Bissau, and the reforestation project led by the Kogi Indigenous people of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia.
In 2010, TENDUA launched its own information programme dedicated to the dugong, a marine mammal found notably along the Egyptian coast of the Red Sea. Discover the programme in the “Actions” section.
In 2011, TENDUA joined the Shark Alliance. Our feature below, together with our blog www.protection-requins.org, www.protection-requins.org created in January 2011, helps raise awareness of these essential yet still widely misunderstood animals, which play a vital role in the balance of marine ecosystems.
In 2014, TENDUA joined the CAP Loup coalition to support wolf conservation in France.
From 2014 to 2023, TENDUA shared its knowledge and accompanied visitors on trips to encounter humpback whales off the coast of La Réunion Island.
New projects and information regularly enrich our work. Visit our website and subscribe to our newsletters to discover them — and perhaps, in turn, help contribute to the awareness that is essential to the future of our planet.
Sharks: badly loved because they are badly known?
